Their investment in UK manufacturing has been vast over the years and employs a large number of people. Until the late 1990’s, a high proportion of equine rubber surfaces were manufactured by Boyntons.
Boyntons holds the only original patent license for equine rubber arenas. The patent was created by arena specialists who researched and trialed the optimum size of rubber chip for maximum performance, moisture retention, freeze resistance, low dust, and better ability to sit on the top of sand due to its size. This high level of ‘spring’ for the horse results in less injury and more enhanced movement.
Rubber equestrian surface is very beneficial to the horse and riders alike. The surface absorbs impact and gives spring and reduces the risk of injury to rider and horse in the event of a fall.
